For Caribou hunt you will fly out of Winnipeg airport. Bear & Deer Camp is easily accessed. Fly from Winnipeg to Swan River, we will pick you up. If you drive, we are about 6 hours North West from the North Dakota border at Pembina or about 5 hours North from the border above Minot, North Dakota. If driving from Pembina area: Rt 75 to Winnipeg, take city bypass road #100 West (this will take you on the outside of the city), exit Rt 1 heading West towards Portage La Praire, exit Rt 16 heading towards Neepawa, exit Rt 5 heading towards Dauphin, exit Rt 10 heading towards Swan River. About 10 miles before Swan River is a sign for Minitonas-exit Rt 366 heading towards the Duck Mountains. Travel about 6 miles on Rt 366 our road is the last left hand (east) turn before Rt 366 turns into gravel. Our gravel road is about 1 mile and ends in our yard. If you are driving from the Minot, ND area, follow Rt 83 to Swan River then Rt 10 East, about 10 miles on Rt 10 see Minitonas Rt 366, follow directions as above from Rt 366.

BORDER CROSSING

Whether you fly or drive, you will be crossing a border; once to enter Canada and then to re-enter the U.S. In this day of terrorism, increased security and anti’s you need to be prepared. A passport or birth certificate along with picture identification is required now. Gun Registration forms will be sent to you or acquired on line. Follow the instructions on filling them out, cost is about $35 U.S. at the border. Manitoba Tourism will send more information.
